  • Description

A chukka boot in a brand new colour way for us, the burgundy scotch grain is a boot you won’t take off all winter. With a Dainite rubber sole and Goodyear welted construction, made in the Crockett & Jones Northampton factory, the home of English shoes.

You won’t find this exclusive style anywhere else, made on the 336 last, ideal for those looking for a boot to effortlessly bridge the gap between formal and casual style dressing. Look out for the exclsive burgundy leather scotch grain which wears well and helps to disguise creasing, yet ages beautifully.

For the James Bond fan, the bestselling Molton should be on your radar. Did you know the Chukka boot in dark brown rough out was featured in the world-renowned No Time To Die? Pretty special right?

Bowhill & Elliott have proudly stocked Crockett & Jones footwear in our Norwich store since the 1940’s, highlighting our special relationship with Northampton’s finest shoe maker and underpinning our commitment to supporting British manufacturing.

  • Size & fit

A Chukka boot is constructed using three pieces of outer material – inside quarter, outside quarter and vamp with low cut leg (but above the ankle) and two to three eyelets. Historically thought of as a sporting and military boot, most likely coming to prominence from the British army’s time in India in the late 1930’s, when the classic Desert boot rose in popularity. Now a iconic style, the Chukka boot is one option that you'll wear year after year.

  • Delivery & returns

For in-stock styles, you can expect delivery within 1 week, with Made-to-Order embroidered styles subjected to an estimated 10/12 week lead time.

Delivery charges will be applied at checkout, as they will vary depending on the destination of your order. About Bowhill & Elliott

Bowhill & Elliott are a small, family-owned business with a fascinating history in shoemaking and manufacturing, crafting the finest footwear for over 150 years.

Established in 1874 in Norwich, England, as a bespoke shoemaker, we evolved into a dedicated slipper manufacturer in the 1960s. Our historic home at 65 London Street, Norwich, England, remains the same address where Obadiah Bowhill first set foot over the threshold, all those years ago

From bespoke shoemakers to a global brand, Bowhill & Elliott has become synonymous with exceptional quality, worn by everyone from royalty to music icons.

Situated in the Norwich Lanes, our four-floor building embodies our heritage. We continue to ‘make out the back, sell out the front’ with retail space, our newly renovated slipper lounge, office space and two workshops at the heart of our operations. In our workshops, eight skilled shoemakers, meticulously craft each pair by hand, using the same time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. Every detail including intricate embroidery, is carefully executed by hand using traditional gold work techniques that combine wires and threads to create unparalleled depth and beauty.

The home of the house shoe, whether it’s our handmade velvet Albert dress slippers or hard-soled Grecian loafers, the craftsmanship in every pair is unmatched.
