Crockett & Jones Molton - Dark Brown Rough-Out Suede Chukka Boot with Notched Storm Welt and Dainite Sole.

Featured in James Bond No Time To Die.

Made in England Crockett & Jones Molton is a chukka boot made from dark brown rough-out suede, Dainite sole and complimented with an eye catching notched storm welt. Made on the 336 last, Molton is the only style on this distinctive last in the Crockett & Jones collection. Although labeled as an 'E' width, expect this to fit more generously than previous Crockett & Jones models, with the deep vamp associated with chukka boots due to the high derby lacing, and a heavy chisel toe creating a deeper toe box fitting.

Continuing Crockett & Jones close association with Daniel Craig's tenure as James Bond, Molton featured in the latest instalment -  No Time To Die. Spotted in full action as Mr Bond heroically battled the elements in Norway, the boots certainly outlasted the Range Rovers!

Crockett & Jones Molton is Goodyear welted, a traditional shoe manufacturing construction favoured by English shoemakers, allowing for multiple resoles. Repair not replace is the key to enjoying this style for many years, being the ultimate in sustainable footwear.

    Bowhill and Chukka Boots

Much debate surrounds the origins of the Chukka boot, associated with Polo players, and most likely coming to prominence from the British army's time in India in the late 1930s, when the classic Desert Boot rose in popularity.

Chukka boots, much like Chelsea boots, have a strong connection to sport and equestrian lifestyle, offering unrivalled versatility . Bridging the gap between formal and casual effortlessly, no wonder it suits our Norwich shop so well. Crockett & Jones Molton - dark brown rough-out suede chukka boot has become the best selling boot from the entire collection this year, could Norfolk be secretly harvesting the next Mr Bond?

Bowhill & Elliott have proudly stocked Crockett & Jones footwear in our Norwich store since the 1940s, highlighting our special relationship with Northampton’s finest shoemaker and underpinning our commitment to supporting premium British manufacturing.

About Bowhill & Elliott

Bowhill & Elliott are a small, family-owned business with a fascinating history in shoemaking and manufacturing, crafting the finest footwear for over 150 years.

Established in 1874 in Norwich, England, as a bespoke shoemaker, we evolved into a dedicated slipper manufacturer in the 1960s. Our historic home at 65 London Street, Norwich, England, remains the same address where Obadiah Bowhill first set foot over the threshold, all those years ago

From bespoke shoemakers to a global brand, Bowhill & Elliott has become synonymous with exceptional quality, worn by everyone from royalty to music icons.

Situated in the Norwich Lanes, our four-floor building embodies our heritage. We continue to ‘make out the back, sell out the front’ with retail space, our newly renovated slipper lounge, office space and two workshops at the heart of our operations. In our workshops, eight skilled shoemakers, meticulously craft each pair by hand, using the same time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. Every detail including intricate embroidery, is carefully executed by hand using traditional gold work techniques that combine wires and threads to create unparalleled depth and beauty.

The home of the house shoe, whether it’s our handmade velvet Albert dress slippers or hard-soled Grecian loafers, the craftsmanship in every pair is unmatched.
