  • Description

If you’re looking for the ultimate layering piece, say hello to the Reversible Vest in Navy. It might just turn out to be the hardest working piece in your wardrobe. Constructed from natural fibres and designed to be partnered with Yarmouth Oilskins’ outerwear, it delivers year-round thermal control without compromise. The chunky antique brass YKK zip allows complete reversibility - flip between breathable dry wax or sumptuous moleskin depending on the day’s demands. The ribbed collar utilises deadstock knitted ribbing, whilst functional pockets feature on both sides. A considered wardrobe essential that adapts to your needs throughout the year.

  • Details & Care

When it comes to aftercare, Yarmouth Oilskin advise not to wash the vest but to allow it to air naturally, and develop its own natural patina over time. Any serious marks should be spot cleaned. As with the Hooded Smock, the waxed properties can be rejuvenated over time with the Wax Spray.

  • Delivery & returns

For in-stock styles, you can expect delivery within 1 week, with Made-to-Order embroidered styles subjected to an estimated 10/12 week lead time.

Due to the nature of the product, all socks are non-returnable.

Delivery charges will be applied at checkout, as they will vary depending on the destination of your order. All shipments to the UK, EU & USA will be sent including tax, duties and tariffs paid, so no nasty surprises when the item arrives. Rest of the world shipments will be sent excluding tax, duty and tariffs, with any additional costs being the receivers responsibility.

Please ensure to only try on a carpeted surface and not on hard or wooden floors.

Unfortunately we do not offer free returns. Bowhill & Elliott offer a 28 day return policy (except monogrammed, bespoke design or items that have been customised). All goods should be returned in box fresh condition with original packaging. Return shipping can be arranged, with the cost of returns deducted from your final refund.

About Bowhill & Elliott

Bowhill & Elliott are a small, family-owned business with a fascinating history in shoemaking and manufacturing, crafting the finest footwear for over 150 years.

Established in 1874 in Norwich, England, as a bespoke shoemaker, we evolved into a dedicated slipper manufacturer in the 1960s. Our historic home at 65 London Street, Norwich, England, remains the same address where Obadiah Bowhill first set foot over the threshold, all those years ago

From bespoke shoemakers to a global brand, Bowhill & Elliott has become synonymous with exceptional quality, worn by everyone from royalty to music icons.

Situated in the Norwich Lanes, our four-floor building embodies our heritage. We continue to ‘make out the back, sell out the front’ with retail space, our newly renovated slipper lounge, office space and two workshops at the heart of our operations. In our workshops, eight skilled shoemakers, meticulously craft each pair by hand, using the same time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. Every detail including intricate embroidery, is carefully executed by hand using traditional gold work techniques that combine wires and threads to create unparalleled depth and beauty.

The home of the house shoe, whether it’s our handmade velvet Albert dress slippers or hard-soled Grecian loafers, the craftsmanship in every pair is unmatched.
