The Collared Grecian in Fox Flannel House Check
-
Description
Our Collared Grecian Slipper in the new House Check brings fresh character to an archive favourite. Hand-cut from Fox Flannel using our 7036 pattern, this Street Slipper® design has been part of our collection since the 1970s.
An elegant low vamp and leather collar detail frame the distinctive check, creating a refined loafer for year-round wear. The cloth, crafted by Fox Brothers & Co, pairs British textile heritage with the artistry of traditional hand-lasting. From relaxed days to occasions worth dressing for, the Collared Grecian brings a sense of quiet distinction to everyday life.
Our Collared Grecian is lined in distinctive saffron suede, offering a soft, luxurious feel whether worn with or without socks. Designed for life beyond the front door, the Flex Leather Sole adds durability for everyday wear while retaining the elegant profile of our traditional leather dress soles. A new concept from Bowhill & Elliott, the Flex Leather Sole is especially for us, offering comfort, flexibility and durability. Undergoing a special tanning process using scotch guard, which provides good weather resistance and year-round wearability. It combines thoughtful craftsmanship with the pleasure of everyday comfort.
The Hard Sole Grecian Slippers are a Made-to-Order style so please expect a 4 week lead time.

Bowhill & Elliott are a small, family-owned business with a fascinating history in shoemaking and manufacturing, crafting the finest footwear for over 150 years.
Established in 1874 in Norwich, England, as a bespoke shoemaker, we evolved into a dedicated slipper manufacturer in the 1960s. Our historic home at 65 London Street, Norwich, England, remains the same address where Obadiah Bowhill first set foot over the threshold, all those years ago
From bespoke shoemakers to a global brand, Bowhill & Elliott has become synonymous with exceptional quality, worn by everyone from royalty to music icons.
Situated in the Norwich Lanes, our four-floor building embodies our heritage. We continue to ‘make out the back, sell out the front’ with retail space, our newly renovated slipper lounge, office space and two workshops at the heart of our operations. In our workshops, eight skilled shoemakers, meticulously craft each pair by hand, using the same time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. Every detail including intricate embroidery, is carefully executed by hand using traditional gold work techniques that combine wires and threads to create unparalleled depth and beauty.
The home of the house shoe, whether it’s our handmade velvet Albert dress slippers or hard-soled Grecian loafers, the craftsmanship in every pair is unmatched.
